Support VPA
VPA produces artistic events so fiercely compelling that they require conversation, improve the imagination, and promote cultural vibrancy as a core value and attractor for the communities of the Mat-Su Valley.

Valley Performing Arts is celebrating its 48th year as privately funded non-profit institution. With less than 5% of our budget provided by grant funding, we rely on the generosity of our Theatre Partners and Corporate Supporters to meet operating costs and other expenses. There are many ways for individuals, foundations, and corporations to give their support, and in return, Valley Performing Arts thanks our members and sponsors with special buying privileges, discounts, and other benefits.

Valley Performing Arts presents over 80 performances each season, representing both the best of the classical traditions and the boldest of contemporary performance. Each year VPA produces and educates youth ages 7 through 17 during our Summer Theatre Arts Program. This program is designed to help students build self-confidence, self-expression and concentration skills through experiences that focus on the fundamentals of theatre production. In its thirteenth year, our 2014 VPA instructors shared the love of the theatre with over 125 youth.

Our Commitment to Our Community

For almost 50 years VPA has been an outlet for our community to become involved with live theatre arts. As a non-profit organization, VPA is guided by a volunteer board of directors, limited staff and many community volunteers. Each year VPA gives back to the community with our Preview Night at the Theatre. With the financial support of our sponsor, Urgent Care at Lake Lucille, we can offer our seven individual plays to local non-profit community clientele. On Preview Night at the Theatre we invite over 15 local non-profits to choose the individuals who receive free admissions to our play. These clients are individuals who may not have the funds to attend the theatre and need a break from their current situation.

VPA opens up our theatre to the Mat-Su Borough School District and to the Mat-Su Community College by providing drama students access to the pre-production activities of our plays. Throughout Season 40, VPA is accepting non-perishable food donations on behalf of the Food Pantry of Wasilla. VPA is also collecting Toys For Tots during our Christmas play on behalf of the Special Santa Program. Please consider bring a donation when attending a performance.

Theatre Partner – A Donation

At Valley Performing Arts, artists and audiences come together for the liveliest of cultural exchanges. For over 40 years our community has supported VPA and allowed us to continue bringing theatre arts to the Valley. As one of the largest and longest-running community theatres, Valley Performing Arts has led the way in providing meaningful theatrical, educational, and volunteer opportunities. When you donate to VPA, you become a VPA Theatre Partner and your contribution makes a difference by sustaining VPA as an integral part of the community fabric. We honor these donors in each play program. Thank you so much for your donation!
