My name is Jenna Worley and I am honored to be the new Executive Director at Valley Performing Arts.
I was first introduced to VPA in 2013, not too long after moving to Alaska from Colorado. We acquired tickets through my children’s charter school to attend Clue the Musical. My kids instantly fell in love with theater and attended the summer program that following summer, and I began volunteering. I was pleased to find such a wonderful community theater here in Wasilla because being involved in theater productions has been a big part of my life, ever since I was very young. I’ve always enjoyed singing and performing, but I’ve also come to love the backstage and administrative elements, too. As I became more involved at VPA, new roles and opportunities continued to present themselves, both on and off stage. I’ve directed sessions of the Summer Program for the last 7 years, and also taught weekday Theater classes. That lead to working in the office as the Administrative Assistant, and now stepping up to position of Executive Director.
Valley Performing Arts has been a big part of my life for the last 10 years and I’m excited to serve the theater and the community in this new role as we continue to provide quality live performances to the Valley.
